Wild Roots Nature Fest will be an annual festival taking part during mid-June as a Great Big Green Week series of events. 2025 will be based in Lancaster, but we hope to expand this more widely in north Lancashire in future years.
The festival is a celebration of the natural world, and we want people to connect (or reconnect) with nature for their own benefit and to appreciate and make space for nature itself.
What's on?
All events are free of charge, although where you can afford to, we do ask for a small donation to help us with the costs of delivering the activities for the festival. Many events will be available as drop-ins, but a number of them will need to be booked in advance.
For a full list of bookable events, please visit our events page (link below). These will be updated with new events appearing closer to the festival.
We also have a Trail of Nature competition, with posters in shop windows in the Lancaster BID disrict (this will be from early June until the end of the month). For more information on the species that will feature in the trail, please follow the link below. We will add more content to this page as we get closer to the festival!
